A Councillor since 1996, Tom has dedicated almost 20 years to the community and its members needs and challenges. During his tenure on Council, Tom has been responsible for various projects and opportunities and held the position of Deputy Chief for 3 terms. Currently responsible for Forestry, Gardner's Mill and the Saw Mill, Tom is active in the daily operations and governance aspects required for running and creating a successful community.

To accompany Tom's responsibilities of working with and responding to requests and questions from community members, he is involved in various community activities and committees. A member of the Community Recreation and Gardner's Mill Committees, Tom has been able to be part of the planning and implementation of various exciting projects which have provided benefit to the community, as a whole.

Along with fellow councillor Jeff Purdy, Tom represents Chief and Council on the Gaming Board while working in partnership with the Housing and Economic Development departments.

Before serving on the Council, Tom owned and operated his own forestry company. Tom resides in Yarmouth along with his two daughters and two grandchildren.

Tom is focused on the betterment of the community and is proud to be provided the opportunity to help change the community to one which is better, healthy and filled with hope and success.
